Glad to have you back for this week's IBM i news roundup! Since it's still early into the year, we've got more 2017 predictions and of course 2016 highlights. It's always nice to reflect. Let's begin.

- One of the things I wanted, I wished for, was that I would keep meeting people who were in their 20s on the platform and this came true actually in unexpected ways as well.
- Not only is Liam a young guy working on the platform but he is also a speaker and we actually had him along to speak at the RPG and DB2 Summit that we had in Chicago and looking forward to having back speaking with us at the Summit in Orlando in March.
- I wanted a better database interface. Now this is something that has not been delivered in 2016 but the good news is that there are strides being made in the right direction with ACS Access Client solutions and the database functionality...
