These enrollments were done using IBM's Watson for clinical trials matching system, a system that helps match patients with clinical trials that could help them deal with their diagnosis. CIO of the Mayo Clinic, Christopher Ross, was quoted as saying, *“Watson is able to give us faster, better matching of patients to potential clinical trials that our oncologists wouldn’t have otherwise been able to see — and I sit with our oncologists who work on this kind of thing. “\[The oncologist's\] day, every day, is to sit with stage four breast cancer patients who have no hope and I don’t know how she does it.
