When it comes to education and networking in the Southern California IBM i community, this year's OCEAN Tech Conference did not disappoint!
The conference, organized by the OCEAN user group, boasted over 35 sessions by renowned speakers such as Alison Butterill, Jon Paris and Susan Gantner, on a range of IBM i subjects.
Among those speakers were Profound Logic's own Scott Klement and Alex Roytman, both of whom covered topics that are vital to the success of Web modernization for IBM i applications, including RPG Open Access, JSON and working with modern RPG code.
One of our favorite parts of any conference is the chance to interact with the attendees. This conference provided ample opportunities to mingle!
On Thursday, June 17th, we were treated to a pre-conference dinner with Alison Butterill as the keynote speaker. And on the 18th we gave Profound UI demos and answered questions at our table in the expo hall. What a great way to learn about the modernization needs of OCEAN's user group members!
Until next year's conference, we look forward to seeing our OCEAN friends at monthly meetings. In fact, Alex Roytman will be the speaker at an upcoming monthly event!
